Brain is a local service that turns what the system sees β€” files, emails, decisions, conversations β€” into structured memory instead of raw logs. It keeps an episodic timeline (what happened, who, when), a semantic layer searchable by meaning rather than keywords, and a knowledge graph of entities and their links β€” clients, projects, documents, and how they connect. That graph is why local Sofia can answer "what's the status of project Y" across everything it has ever seen. It runs on your hardware (local databases, full-text search, write-ahead logging); nothing about your business sits in someone else's cloud, and the system gets sharper over time instead of starting from zero each session.

The gate before the cloud
Masker sits between your data and any cloud model. Before a request leaves the machine, it detects and replaces the identifiers that actually matter β€” codice fiscale, P.IVA, IBAN, email, phone, company name β€” with placeholders, and restores the real values locally in the response. It uses checksum validation, not just pattern-matching, so it catches genuine identifiers and ignores false positives, and it's deterministic β€” auditable and predictable, not a model that might forget to mask something. Mappings stay in a local store per account. The result: you can use frontier cloud models without the data that identifies your clients ever leaving the building. Boundary, stated plainly: it covers text (Mail, CRM, documents), not Sofia's live voice stream.
